I’ve been incredibly fortunate to help hundreds of families with their wealth management and financial planning needs over my nearly 40-year career. I attribute much of my business success to the high quality of my client relationships. Truthfulness, transparency, and trustworthiness are three important things I attempt to practice with anyone that chooses to do business with me. I have a deep desire to help my clients understand and simplify what they have and then to assist them in prioritizing their financial objectives for the future.
My approach to investment management employs a risk management strategy that I believe benefits clients through different market conditions over long-term investment cycles. And I believe my affiliation with Transcendent Capital Group gives me great flexibility in managing client accounts relative to advisors with large wire-house firms. I love that Transcendent Capital Group is a registered investment advisor (RIA) meaning that we are fiduciaries obligated to always put our clients’ interests first.
Before joining Transcendent Capital Group, I worked for some of Wall Street’s top investment firms including Paine Webber (now part of UBS) and Merrill Lynch. My last brokerage affiliation was with Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Prudential Securities) where I spent 21 years serving in a number of roles including branch manager and financial advisor. I previously worked in management for a trucking company that provided equipment transportation services for the oil & gas industry.
I recently invited my youngest son, Cameron, to work with me in my practice. I am very excited to have Cameron on my team – both to provide valuable service to my clients and to have the opportunity to coach and mentor Cameron in his career. I love being a financial advisor and have no plans to retire anytime in the near future. Our beautiful family includes Lyn, my wife of over 40 years, four children, and one grandchild.
